Reporting improvement for B2B service teams
How much work goes into your recurring management report?
When operations or finance collects exports, checks totals and rebuilds the same report each week, preparation can become a workflow of its own. GoNexPivot helps Florida businesses examine that work and scope an improvement around one existing report.
Start with the report owner and the decision
We identify who prepares the report, everyone who contributes, and the manager who uses it. Together we trace collection, cleanup, checking, corrections and delivery. The starting point is a report your team already needs, with agreed metrics and coverage.
An initial scope can cover one report, one operating team, up to two source systems and up to three contracts or business units. We confirm the boundary against your actual records before agreeing to implementation.
Check existing software first
Your current systems may already support the required exports, scheduled reports or reconciliations. We check those capabilities and available access first. If configuration solves the problem, a custom implementation may be unnecessary.
What we need to review
- The existing report, its cadence, filters, metric definitions and receiving manager.
- Representative source exports, record identifiers and the rules used to reconcile totals.
- Known missing-data and duplicate cases, plus the person responsible for resolving them.
- Authorized access, agreed storage and retention, and a client-owned delivery destination.
Discuss the process on the first call. Share customer records only through a separately agreed, authorized channel.
What your team receives
The agreed output reproduces the existing management report with source references, a visible exception list, a metric dictionary and handoff instructions or recording. Missing inputs and unresolved totals are flagged. Your team retains approval of corrections, interpretation and operating decisions.
Company-wide reporting platforms, ERP replacements and autonomous financial posting are outside this starting scope. Additional work needs its own agreement.
Evaluate effort, quality and actual use
Agree the measurement rules before starting. Observe two baseline production cycles and two comparable live cycles after the change, keeping the same report coverage and required quality.
Preparation effort includes active collection, cleanup, preparation, checking, corrections and delivery across all contributors, including recurring work performed by GoNexPivot. One-off implementation and training are recorded separately.
Compare the average effort in the two baseline cycles with the average in the two live cycles. Reconcile source totals, check unchanged coverage and confirm that the receiving manager actually uses the output. Reduced coverage or hidden manual work does not count as improvement.
A reduction of at least 40% is a proposed acceptance condition for a scoped pilot, subject to written agreement. It is not an achieved client result or a guaranteed saving. If the cycles cannot be compared or effort cannot be measured, no success percentage is established.
Scope, pricing, access, responsibilities, measurement window and acceptance are agreed before commitment.
